Our Mission
At Starting Anew Corp, we believe in second chances. Our mission is to empower formerly incarcerated individuals by providing them with the support, resources, and opportunities they need to successfully reintegrate into society. Through education, employment assistance, mentorship, and advocacy, we strive to break the cycle of recidivism and help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
Who We Are
Starting Anew Corp is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to creating pathways for individuals reentering society after incarceration. We understand that the transition can be challenging, which is why we offer comprehensive programs designed to address critical needs, including job training, housing assistance, mental health support.
Our team consists of passionate professionals, mentors, and volunteers who are to provide support for formerly incarcerated individuals and share a vision of a more just and inclusive society—one where people are not defined by their past mistakes but by their potential for growth and transformation.
What We Do
We offer a range of services to support reentry, including:
- Employment & Skills Training – Job readiness programs, resume building, and partnerships with employers committed to fair hiring.
- Housing Assistance – Safe and stable housing solutions to prevent homelessness and support stability.
- Education & Personal Development – GED programs, vocational training, and life skills workshops.
- Mentorship & Peer Support – One-on-one guidance and support networks to help individuals navigate challenges.
- Medications Management – We provide medication review and education services to ensure individuals understand their prescriptions, manage their health effectively, and avoid potential complication.
Why It Matters
Each year, thousands of individuals are released from incarceration each year in the U.S.; yet many face significant barriers to employment, housing, and social reintegration. Without proper support, nearly two-thirds of them return to prison within three years. We exist to change that narrative. By investing in second chances, we strengthen families, improve communities, and reduce recidivism—creating a more just and equitable society for all.
